Notice to Applicants:

In keeping with our dedication to providing healthcare services to our area and in accordance with the current Washington State Governor’s Proclamation 21-14 (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement), all healthcare workers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 18th. Under this mandate, an employee’s vaccination status is a term of employment. To read the entirety of the proclamation, please click here.

The Governor’s proclamation emphasizes the urgency for healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated: “Healthcare workers face COVID-19 exposures in a variety of healthcare settings, with those involving direct patient care likely at higher risk.”

The proclamation defines fully vaccinated:
“A person is considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after they have received the second dose in a two-dose series of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use, licensed, or otherwise approved by the FDA (e.g., Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or two weeks after they have received a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use, licensed, or otherwise approved by the FDA (e.g., Johnson & Johnson (J&J)/Janssen.”

Because the Washington State Governor’s Proclamation requires full vaccination by October 18, please plan accordingly to have your vaccinations completed within the above timeframes if you are applying for a position at Samaritan Healthcare.
