EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Emergency Care
Samaritan is committed to providing the best emergency care possible. Our newly remodeled Emergency Department is designed to improve wait times, enhance safety for patients and staff, and provide high-quality care to all who seek emergency services. Triage rooms allow higher-need patients to be prioritized and treated in the main emergency area—less-acute patients with low-grade illnesses and minor treatments are seen in Flex Care rooms. We also designed exam rooms that are specially equipped for the specific needs of behavioral and mental health patients.
Our Level 3 Trauma Service designation from the Washington State Department of Health means we have 24-hour, board-certified general and orthopaedic surgery coverage, a full-scale trauma team with a certified trauma surgeon, certified emergency department and ICU nurses, and 24-hour access to state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment.
Samaritan is committed to providing the best possible care locally to patients, but when a patient requires a higher level of care, we work within a clinical network of hospitals throughout Washington State to arrange efficient access to our most trusted care partners.
