Diagnostic Imaging

The diagnostic imaging department offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient imaging services. All imaging staff are registered nationally. We are committed to providing accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services, including:

Exams at Samaritan Hospital

Walk-ins x-rays are welcome at the hospital diagnostic imaging department from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Patients with scheduled and walk in exams, need to check in at the registration booth at the main entrance of the hospital during normal business hours. For appointments during the weekend or after hours, you may be asked to check in at the ER entrance registration booth. The department staff will come to the main waiting area to escort you to the proper imaging area. The report of the exam will typically be sent to your provider in 24-48 hours.

To Schedule an Exam

All exams, with the exception of screening mammograms require an order from your healthcare provider. Once you have your order, call our scheduling desk at 509.793.9651 to schedule an exam. Exams like fluoroscopy, CTs, ultrasounds, MRIs, nuclear medicine, echocardiograms, and diagnostic mammography must be scheduled in advance. Scheduled exams are typically between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday—except ultrasound, which is scheduled until 8 p.m., and also has scheduled weekend slots. There is no need to schedule general x-rays.
