Intensive Care Unit
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU), at Samaritan Healthcare has twelve beds. The ICU specializes in the treatment of patients who require specialized monitoring due to their health conditions. The purpose and mission of the Intensive Care Unit is to provide safe, quality care for patients who require specialized monitoring.
The Intensive Care Unit is staffed with Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The staff is licensed to practice in the state of Washington. The ICU staff receive specialized training, and education to work in the ICU. The ICU RN’s are certified in Advanced Care Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nurse Core Competencies.
The ICU works closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, care management, and dietary planners to provide care to our patients.
Samaritan Healthcare ICU has Hospitalists on staff 24/7 to provide care to our patients. Hospitalists are intensive medicine doctors who only practice in the hospital. Your regular physician resumes care when you are discharged from the hospital.
