Carley Stakelin is a per diem, on-staff speech-language pathologist (SLP) who provides inpatient care at Samaritan Healthcare. She treats a variety of conditions, including vocal pathologies, swallowing difficulties, and communication deficits after neurological trauma or degeneration.

Carley knew she wanted to work in healthcare from a young age, as helping others has always been one of her passions. Using evidence-based assessments and approaches, Carley creates treatment plans focused on helping patients regain their speech, communication, and dietary goals.

“I love helping others increase their quality of life. I care a lot about my patients, and I hope that shines through in my approach,” said Carley.

Her bachelor’s and master’s degrees are in communications sciences and disorders, both from Eastern Washington University. Carley enjoys being at Samaritan because of her colleagues’ commitment to helping others and community-focused values
