Samaritan Healthcare has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to its community by achieving recognition on a national level. Samaritan has been recognized for being among the top 153 community hospitals in the United States by Becker’s Hospital Review. As one of six recognized from Washington, Samaritan is the only one located in central Washington.
Samaritan and the other community hospitals included in Becker’s are chosen based on three criteria—their clinical excellence, compassionate care, and economic impact on their communities. Organizations cannot pay for inclusion on this list. The Becker’s editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on several outside rankings and ratings organizations, including U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, CMS, The Leapfrog Group, and The Chartis Center for Rural Health.
Becker’s is an essential reference resource for administrators and leaders within hospitals and health systems. It provides comprehensive information that can contribute to informed decision-making so administrators can better position their hospital or health system for long-term sustainability and excellence.
As a community-owned hospital, Samaritan’s recognition reflects the collective efforts of both the dedicated staff and the supportive community working together to ensure access to high-quality healthcare services close to home.
“This recognition is a direct reflection of the work of our staff and the care they provide to our patients in the community each and every day,” said Katherine Christian, Chair, Board of Commissioners of Samaritan Healthcare. “From the front desk staff to remote workers, nurses to physicians, it takes everyone to provide exceptional care.”
This recognition also highlights Samaritan’s initial vision in 1947 to provide local healthcare, which has continued to grow and expand, guided by their ongoing mission.
“It’s exciting to be recognized as a Great Community Hospital,” added Dale Paris, Board of Commissioners. “For 76 years, Samaritan has served the community in all areas of health, and this recognition gives a nod of gratitude to the teams that came before, and celebrates the current team that gives it their all—day in and day out. It feels good to take a minute and celebrate with the entire organization.”
Samaritan Healthcare looks forward to celebrating this achievement with its community and renews its dedication to providing top-tier, community-owned healthcare services.
