SAMARITAN HEALTHCARE POSTPONES ELECTIVE PATIENT CARE SERVICES UNTIL APRIL 1ST
Moses Lake – As of Thursday, March 19, Samaritan Healthcare officials made the decision to suspend elective surgeries and other elective services. The decision comes after continued conversation with regional and state health officials, surrounding our community’s defense against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
At this time, elective procedures and services scheduled at Samaritan Hospital or Clinics have been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. Over the coming weeks, Samaritan leadership and physicians will continue to evaluate the need to further postpone services. However, urgent and emergent surgeries and other services will remain intact and operate as normal.
“Our main goal is to minimize risk of exposure to both patients and staff, and to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community,” stated Samaritan Chief Executive Officer, Theresa Sullivan.
In addition to the postponement of elective procedures, Samaritan Clinics continue to evaluate options for clinic visits through a virtual platform. Samaritan will update patients and community as more information becomes available.

Additionally, for anyone with concerns that they may have been exposed to COVID-19, we encourage them to call our 24-hour nurse hotline at 509-764-3331.
