Samaritan Healthcare has been awarded $2.5 million dollars from the federal Omnibus Bill in support of its Women and Infant Services Project.
This $2.5 Million dollar federal funding effort was made possible through the tremendous efforts of Senator Maria Cantwell and Congressman Dan Newhouse, and will provide advanced specialty care for high-risk pregnancies, complicated births, and women’s health. Additionally, the funds will help support technology advancements for surgical patients throughout the region.
“This funding is a significant win for the future of healthcare in Central Washington,” said Women’s Health Medical Director, Dr. Ryan Rasmussen. “These dollars allow us to advance the care and technology needed to provide advanced OB services, and surgical procedures to patients throughout our community.”
The federal funding was secured thanks for efforts by Congressman Dan Newhouse and Senator Maria Cantwell, both of whom have supported the project from the vision for future healthcare in the Central Washington region.
The funding also received support from Senator Patty Murray who also has continued to advocate on behalf of Samaritan over the last several years. These funds would not be possible without their support.
“We are grateful for the partnership and continued advocacy from our congressional delegation,” said Samaritan CEO, Theresa Sullivan. “With their support, we are bringing advanced technology and services to meet the needs of our growing region.”
