If surgery is part of your healthcare journey, you may have questions about pre-operative requirements, discharge instructions, or anything in between. The skilled surgical providers and staff at Samaritan Healthcare are committed to patient-first care, which is only possible when patients have a clear understanding of the procedure.
Our compassionate staff in the general surgery department are available to provide information about scheduled procedures or one you are considering.
Some patients undergoing procedures that involve removing or altering the shape of an anatomical feature have questions about cosmetic or plastic surgery. While Samaritan general surgeons do not complete cosmetic procedures, we do refer patients to a nearby cosmetic surgical practice, particularly following breast health procedures.
Samaritan uses the da Vinci Robotic-Assisted Surgical System to complete procedures with less pain and faster recovery. Currently, the da Vinci is used for herniorrhaphies, or hernia surgery, but soon the system will be used for a variety of general surgeries.
Our general surgeons are highly accomplished in a range of procedures, including but not limited to laparoscopies, breast procedures, appendectomies, hernia repairs, gall bladder removals, endoscopies, and emergency surgeries.
