When community hospitals are strengthened, the entire community is strengthened!
All of us at Samaritan Healthcare would like to thank our hospital district voters who came out to support community-owned healthcare. Voters supported in favor, 66.94%, of a bond to pay part of the cost of the new hospital for the residents of Grant County Public Hospital District No. 1.
This election was truly a community effort with so many great stories of support. From the Friends of Healthcare, to residents and employees who attended meetings, and so many businesses that proudly showed their support for this community effort.
“On behalf of our board, the staff, and all of us at Samaritan Healthcare, we are grateful and thank our community for your incredible support,” said Theresa Sullivan, CEO of Samaritan Healthcare. “The show of support from the people of our district means so much to our staff and providers who work tirelessly each and every day to provide care to our community. Today, this decision demonstrates when community hospitals are strengthened, the entire community is strengthened!”
In the coming months, we’ll provide updates on groundbreaking and the construction timeline. Watch for information in this newsletter, on our website, and on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Linked In).
We’re all looking forward to the opening of our new community hospital in late 2026!
