Steven Brooks was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer in 2022. As CHRO, Steven is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic workforce plans and operational priorities around optimizing employee engagement, retention, and recruitment practices. He also oversees all aspects regarding human resources within the organization, such as compliance and governance regulation, employee relations, union negotiations, benefits and compensation He is also accountable for the direction and oversight of the following departments; Environmental Services, Nutritional Services, Education, & Employee Health. Prior to Samaritan, Steven served as Vice President of Human Resources at Southeastern Med in Cambridge, OH for 9 years. With almost 20 years of healthcare experience & education, Steven is excited to bring his knowledge and leadership to Samaritan. Steven earned his Master’s Degree from Emporia State University, and his Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University.
