Pam Dick, MS, RDN, CDCES, CMA, has years of experience as a certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, as well as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. The connections between diabetes education and nutrition have always been her focus in providing healthcare.

For several years before virtual healthcare appointments became more common, Pam had already been offering diabetes education to patients virtually. Her training and education includes providing real-time diabetes management support and education via phone, texts, and online, as well as in person. Pam knows that diabetes impacts the whole body and every person has a different journey and lifestyle with unique needs. She enjoys discovering the pieces of the puzzle that best fit the needs of each patient—from education and support in navigating a new diabetes diagnosis to understanding how to manage diabetes with another disease that may accompany it.

As Samaritan’s diabetes educator, Pam combines in-person appointments, with telehealth or virtual education and appointments—depending on the needs of the patient and the stage of their diagnosis. She especially enjoys exceeding patients’ expectations as she helps them to fully understand their diabetes, while providing care that is individual and tailored to their needs.
