Dr. Leo Chough is Samaritan Healthcare’s full-time, on-staff orthopaedic surgeon. He is also the only sports-medicine fellowship-trained hip and knee surgeon in the region, which increases the skills he brings as an orthopaedic physician. Dr. Chough has a wealth of surgical expertise in arthroscopy/minimally invasive surgery and joint replacement, which allows patients to gain mobility and recover faster with less pain along the way.

Dr. Chough specializes in the state-of-the-art, anterior hip procedure—a muscle-sparing surgical technique leading to more-rapid recoveries. He has successfully performed this procedure since 2003 and he has also instructed other surgeons in this technical technique. Dr. Chough pioneered same-day discharge for total joint replacements (including anterior hip replacements) in Moses Lake, allowing patients to return home and recover without an overnight hospital stay.

His goal is to get his patients back to enjoying their active lifestyles quickly and with as little pain as possible. By using muscle-sparing surgical techniques, Dr. Chough helps patients recover faster, experience less pain, and return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
