Dr. Chayle Turner serves Samaritan as a hospitalist, a doctor who diagnoses, treats, and coordinates care for hospitalized patients.

Born and raised in Pullman, Washington, Dr. Turner is thrilled to be serving a community in her home state. She is a two-time Washington State University graduate, earning her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience before completing medical school at WSU.

She completed her residency in family medicine in a rural training program in western Washington, where she discovered her passion for working in a hospital setting. She enjoys dedicating time to patients who need acute care in the moment.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Turner’s specialty certification is in family medicine, giving her expertise in a variety of medical settings and conditions. Her top priority for every patient is to ensure they feel heard. She believes no matter how excellent her evidence-based care may be, it isn’t a successful interaction if the patient doesn’t feel understood.

Dr. Turner’s favorite part of providing healthcare in a smaller community is the ability to be creative with available resources. When sub-specialist teams are not available for a complex case, she loves the challenge of coordinating a high standard of excellent care in a smaller setting.

When she isn’t helping patients, she enjoys hiking, camping, or fishing. She also has recently taken up paddleboarding and has immense WSU pride. Go Cougs!
