Dr. Andrea Carter was appointed Chief Medical Officer in 2016 and is responsible for the quality of medical care and utilization management within Samaritan Hospital and Clinics. While holding CMO responsibilities, Dr. Carter also sees patients at Samaritan Clinic. In 2020, she was elected to the board of trustees for the Washington State Medical Association. Dr. Carter received her MD from the University of Wisconsin and completed her Family Medicine residency at Duke University. Prior to her appointment as Chief Medical Officer, Andrea served as Chief of Staff.
