SAMARITAN PARTNERS WITH LOCAL CLINICS TO HOST 20TH ANNUAL TURKEY DRIVE

MOSES LAKE —Samaritan Healthcare has partnered with Moses Lake Community Health Center and Confluence Health, to once again, host its annual food drive benefiting the Moses Lake Food Bank.

“We are thrilled to continue leading this effort” said Rachelle Lange, Volunteer Services Coordinator at Samaritan Healthcare. “Each year it seems to grow, and now having five years’ worth of partnership from our neighboring clinics, we are hoping to make a big impact this Thanksgiving.”

Representatives from the Moses Lake Food Bank estimate they will feed nearly 1,500 families from the surrounding community this holiday season.

The 20th Annual Turkey Drive kicks off at 10 am Thursday, November 19th at both Moses Lake Walmart and Moses Lake Grocery Outlet, and will run through 6pm on Friday, November 20th. Community members wishing to help may purchase a pre-packaged bag for $10 filled with Thanksgiving goodies, or drop off any canned food or other non-perishable items.

“For us, knowing that every can of food, every turkey, and every dollar collected goes to help a local in family in need, is more than enough motivation to be out there volunteering for two days straight,” said Lange.

All donations will be directly delivered to the Moses Lake food bank and will be distributed Thanksgiving week.
