SAFE FIREARM STORAGE GIVEAWAY EVENT
MOSES LAKE – Samaritan Healthcare and Moses Lake Community Health Center have partnered together to bring the Safe Firearm Storage Giveaway event to Moses Lake on Saturday, August 22nd from 9am-11am. This year’s event will feature a drive-thru distribution system, and will take place in the main parking lot of Sportsman’s Warehouse. (1020 N. Stratford Rd.)
Thanks to the generous partnership from Molina and KDRM/KBSN, this year’s event will continue the tradition of providing the community education about the importance of safe firearm storage, especially for homes with children and teens.
Those in attendance will receive hands-on training on how to use a lock box and trigger lock. Additionally, event attendees will receive one free lock box or trigger lock per person (maximum two items per vehicle). Recipients must be 18 years or older, and supplies are limited.
“Safe firearm storage protects children, reduces the risk of firearm injury, and saves lives,” said Samaritan Volunteer Services Coordinator, Rachelle Lange. “This is our third year holding this event, and we are excited to see the community join us again on August 22nd.”
