Our Community

Known as the Desert Oasis, Moses Lake and the surrounding area of Grant County Public Hospital District No. 1 are located in the heart of the Columbia Basin in Central Washington. The current primary service area for Samaritan has a population of 77,026.

Though the climate is arid, water recreation is one of the main attractions. Yes, there is a lake in Moses Lakeā€”one of the largest freshwater lakes in Washington. Fishing, waterskiing, canoeing and kayaking are some of the activities available within the city limits. Moses Lake also has a large community aquatic center. Other recreational activities in the area include biking, ice-skating, hunting and snow skiing.

A moderate 4-season climate, average minimum December temperatures of 23 degrees, average summer maximum of 87 degrees and 300-plus days of sunshine make for comfortable living.

One of the fastest-growing populations in Washington, Moses Lake and the surrounding area, including the city of Warden, offers a variety of affordable housing, from new suburban-style developments to family farms.
