Samaritan Family Medicine

Caring for people since 1947

Our Family Medicine providers and staff at Samaritan Healthcare have always had a passion for primary care. In fact, we’ve been dedicated to providing high-quality family medical care since Grant County Public Hospital District No. 1 was established in 1947. Our focus has never wavered from our belief that local patients shouldn’t have to travel for the healthcare they deserve and, above all, that healthcare should be affordable and accessible by all.

Over the years, we’ve purposefully grown the foundation of our Family Medicine department to include highly experienced family doctors, advanced practitioners, nurses, and staff. They enjoy offering consistent care to the whole family across the generations—from infants and children, to teens, adults, and elders.

Dr. Pranav Patel, primary care“I enjoy taking the time to hear concerns so patients feel at ease—I learn their stories in order to better care for them,” said Dr. Pranav Patel, family medicine doctor at Samaritan Healthcare’s Patton Clinic. “Getting to know patients also helps me to explain why a care plan or treatment is needed, in ways they can understand. It’s very fulfilling to make connections that span the generations to care for an entire family.”

Whether patients are experiencing complex issues or need routine health screenings, our family doctors and providers get to know their individual healthcare needs. They take time with patients—building relationships through trust, honesty, and compassion—while helping them take steps to meet their goals of better health.

“It’s a passion, privilege, and duty to advocate for my patients—to help improve their lives,” said Dr. Hayley Heesemann, family medicine doctor at Samaritan Healthcare’s Pioneer Clinic. “If a patient is doing something I should know about, I want them to tell me. I’m not here to judge. I’m here to help. I’m going to be honest—telling them what they need to hear in a caring and compassionate way, even if it’s not what they want to hear.”
