Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Chris Lewis Joins Samaritan Healthcare

MOSES LAKE – Samaritan Healthcare is pleased to announce that Chris Lewis, ARNP, MSN, MHSc, FNP-BC, has joined its Urology department.

As an advanced registered nurse practitioner and a master of science in nursing, Chris has years of experience including internal medicine, family medicine, diabetes management/care, and more.

Chris Lewis works closely with Urology physician Dr. Trisha Kruger to create individualized treatment plans and comprehensive urologic care, including specialty care for men’s and women’s urinary tract concerns and men’s reproductive health. In addition to providing diagnosis and treatment, Samaritan’s Urology department offers preventive-care procedures and disease management.

Chris enjoys getting to know and understand the needs of his patients as they work together to manage their urologic health concerns.

“As a nurse practitioner, a focus of my practice is to understand each patient holistically and to work together to manage their health concerns,” said Chris. “I like to get to know them beyond their health conditions—for example, what do they do for work or what kinds of activities or recreation do they enjoy? By providing care for the whole person, I can partner more effectively with my urology patients and educate them as I explain their conditions.”

Chris earned his Master of Science in nursing at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington; Master of Health Science at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and post-graduate certificate in Family and Emergency Medicine at Arizona Health Sciences University, Mesa, AZ. Additionally, Chris is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management and is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education specialist.

When he’s not providing care for patients, Chris and his wife enjoy spending time with their grandson and adult children, playing with their cats, exercising, and running or walking together.
