Laboratory testing plays an important role in healthcare. The physicians, certified technologists, technicians, phlebotomists and support staff of Samaritan laboratory are committed to providing the highest quality diagnostic, monitoring and wellness testing through the use of leading-edge technology.

Our goal is to provide consistently accurate and timely results. A comprehensive quality control and proficiency program is in place to ensure the quality of all testing performed. We are inspected and accredited by:

  • The College of American Pathologists.
  • The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

Samaritan Hospital Lab (801 E. Wheeler Rd)

The Hospital lab is open to routine outpatient testing Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. STAT testing is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Samaritan Clinic on Pioneer Lab, 1550 S. Pioneer Way Suite 125

The Samaritan Clinic on Pioneer lab is open to routine outpatient testing Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Direct Access Testing is not available at our Samaritan Clinic location.

Samaritan Clinic on Patton Lab, 8420 Aspi Boulevard

The Samaritan Clinic on Patton lab is open to routine outpatient testing Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Direct Access Testing is not available at our Samaritan Clinic location.

Direct Access

Direct access testing is offered for those who want to obtain testing as a wellness monitor or do not see a healthcare provider on a regular basis. If your insurance or Medicare coverage does not pay for your test or if you want testing for a personal condition, direct access gives you the freedom to request those tests when you want them, on your schedule.

No doctor's order is required, and results are sent directly to you. You are encouraged to share those results with your healthcare provider.

To have your tests done, simply come to the Samaritan Hospital Laboratory at 801 E. Wheeler Road and ask for direct access testing. You will choose what tests you want, pay your fee and have your blood drawn. Your results will be mailed to you in 2 to 4 business days.

Direct access testing is available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. Payment is due at time of service. Exact cash or credit cards are accepted.

Available Tests

  • Basic panel—$25. Includes a chemistry panel and a lipid profile.
  • TSH—$30. Thyroid screening.
  • PSA—$30. Prostate specific antigen.
  • CBC—$10. Complete blood count.
  • A1C—$15. Glycohemoglobin
  • Vit D—$50.Vitamin D—250H.
  • MMR—$55. Measles, Mumps, Rubella.
