Diagnostic Imaging
The Diagnostic Imaging Department offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient imaging services. All imaging staff are registered nationally. We are committed to providing accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services including:
- General x-ray.
- Advanced computed tomography (CT).
- Nuclear medicine.
- MRI.
- Ultrasound.
- Cardiac ultrasound echo scanning.
Exams at Samaritan Hospital
Walk-ins are welcome at the hospital diagnostic imaging department from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. All exams require an order from your health care provider. If your provider sends an order to us, not requiring you to be scheduled, all you have to do is sign in at the waiting room reception desk. The report of the exam will typically be sent to your provider typically in less than 24 hours.
Exams at Urgent Care
Samaritan Urgent Care, in the Pioneer Medical Building, has a general x-ray room. This is also the location of our new state-of-the-art MRI unit. See the receptionist at the Urgent Care desk in Suite 100 to sign in. The report of your exam will typically be sent to your provider in less than 24 hours by certified radiologists.
Walk-ins are welcome at the Urgent Care site from 9 a.m. to 8:30 pm seven days a week.
Women’s Imaging Center
The Women’s Imaging Center, located inside Samaritan Hospital, provides digital mammography and osteoporosis DEXA scanning. These exams must be scheduled in advance. Once scheduled, see the diagnostic imaging reception desk to sign in.
To schedule an exam at any location
All exams require an order from your health care provider. Once you have your order, to schedule an exam, call our scheduling desk at (509) 793-9651. Advanced exams like fluoroscopy, CTs, ultrasounds, MRIs, nuclear medicine and mammography must be scheduled in advance. Scheduled exams are typically between 7:30 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Ultrasound which is scheduled until 10 p.m. There is no need to schedule general x-rays.
