Samaritan Hospital Respiratory Care Department is staffed for inpatient care 24 hours
a day with Washington State Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP’s). RCP’s
are ACLS, BLS, and NRP certified.
Patient service population is made up of all age groups, and includes patients
requiring emergent or life supporting critical care, acutely and chronically ill,
and the physically well.
Diagnostic procedures include: Electrocardiograms, cardiac stress testing, and
basic pulmonary function testing with pre- and post- bronchodilator spirometry.
The outpatient department is staffed Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Unless
specifically requested and arranged for ahead of time, there is no coverage in the
outpatient department on the weekends.
All outpatient appointments are made through Central Scheduling at
(509) 765-4449 (or ext. 2449 in the hospital).
The Coordinator pager is 762-7352, and the inpatient on-duty staff therapist pager is
